    HOW TO USE DISCOVER SATAKUNTA -SERVICE

    On this page are instructions how to use the service. You can use the service with smart phones as well as with table computers and tablets.

  • HOW TO SEARCH FOR SERVICES?

    You can search for services by using free word search

    Write into the field for example sauna, snow mobile or bird tower, and you’ll get a listing of services which use the word in their description text. You can use full words or just parts of words, for example snow, to get all the texts containing snow ie. snow mobile, snowing and so on.

  • HOW TO SEARCH FOR SERVICES?

    You can search for services according to category or area

    Choose from the options in What to do -menu the category you want, for example Activities, Relaxation, Local food, Culture and art or For children or in the Where to go -menu the area  like Kankaanpää, Coast or Rauma region.

    If you decide not to choose a category or rea, you will get the services in all categories in whole Satakunta region.

  • WHY THE SERVICE WANTS TO USE MY LOCATION?

    You can choose, if the service shows your own location or not

    When you enter the Discover Satakunta -service, a pop-up window will appear asking to use your current location. 
    If you choose Allow, you will see on the map also your own location as well as the search results.
    If you choose Don’t allow, the service will not show your own location on the map.

    The pop-up window will exit the screen by choosing Remember my decision for 24 hours.

  • HOW ARE THE SEARCH RESULTS SHOWN?

    You will see the search results on a map and as a listing

    The search results are shown in the map directly under the search categories. They are also as a listing with more detailed descriptions and contact information under the map.

    The search results are shown in blue symbols or if there are several results in a specific area, the amount of results is told inside a green circle. You can zoom in and out the map by using the + and – symbols in the top left corner of the map.

    If you have allowed the service to use your current location, the yellow symbol on the map tells your own location.

  • HOW ARE THE SEARCH RESULTS SHOWN?

    You will get more information by clicking the search result

    By clicking an individual search result on the map or in the search listing you can get to know the destination better and also reserve services for those services, which offer their own online booking system.

  • HOW DO I SAVE MY FAVOURITES INTO THE SERVICE?

    Save your favourites with the heart symbol

    Each service description has a grey heart symbol in the top right corner. By clicking the heart you can save the destinations you wish into your favourites listing. You can do this already when made the search or later when getting to know individual destinations in more detail. The heart symbol will turn blue.

  • HOW DO I SAVE MY FAVOURITES INTO THE SERVICE?

    Browse your favourites

    You can get to see your saved favourites by clicking the heart symbol in the upper beam. Your favourites are shown in the map and also as a listing in the same manner as the general search results.

    Ideas and inspiration from the themed routes

     The themed routes offer ideas and inspiration to spend a free day or a longer holiday according to different kinds of themes. The themed routes open through photograps and texts. You can also get to know the route and the destinations on a map at the bottom of the page.

  • HOW CAN I ADD OR UPDATE SERVICES IN THE SITE?

    Add new services or update

    If you wish to add a new destination to the service, update information or fix mistakes, you can send a request to the administration of the service by clicking Adds & updates. There is also a link to the update page in the destination service information.
